I Wonder ’
BY
CAROL VARDY

When she walks into the room
Suddenly, there’s no gloom.
She’s like a breath of fresh air
She doesn’t appear to have a care,
She laughs, she jokes she giggles,
An infectious moment to see.

Her smile is wide, her teeth gleam
Dimples appear, laughter lines are seen
Her face glows, she chatters, she makes
Everyone feel happy and free from care.
Heads turn, strangers are besotted by her.
The sad, dreary old day has changed just
By seeing her smile as she passed their way.
How lovely to have a friend like her.
To brighten up your day.

But I wonder, does she have another face
One that only her family see, where the heartache
And sadness makes the tears run free.
Does she have someone to hug and
Understand her need, reassure and
Help to ease away the pain that only they can see.
